Eldredge Home Inspection is a family owned and operated inspection service. We serve our community of Raleigh North Carolina and the many surrounding communities.
We have been in the business of home inspections for over 10 years and in that time have conducted over 6,000 inspections. With a background in construction Mike has the experience and knowledge on what to look for in both new and old constructed homes.
About James Eldredge
My goal as a home inspector is to help clients by giving them a clear, concise report of all the issues needing repair for their future home. Home Inspection is a passion for me, not just a career choice. I am driven to help clients succeed when requesting repairs through clear messaging and through strategic photography of defects. My top priority is to make sure that you, the homebuyer, are highly satisfied with my service.
What Sets Me Apart
I have over five years of experience working with the company owner who is also my father. I studied construction science at Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) while simultaneously working in the construction field. I also graduated from The Home Inspection Training Center (THIT) receiving my Home Inspection licensure from the state of North Carolina. My goal as an inspector is to give the client a concise, easy to understand report that conveys the potentially expensive and important findings as well as the small things. You will receive a report with pictures and text to clearly describe the issues with your future home!
Giving Back To The Community
Missionary work
In the summer of 2024 I had the pleasure of interning as a missionary with the Penley’s family in Ecuador for 6 weeks. We worked with children putting on vacation bible schools at different villages around the countryside of Ecuador. It was one of the best and most eye opening experiences of my life!
Volunteering at church:

About Mike Eldredge
Home Inspection is more than just discovering defects. The Home Inspection report should empower the buyer to win at the negotiation table. To do this, our reports provide many clear photos with detailed descriptions. These photos show clear locations and vivid images of defects that need repair. Also, the findings are accurate. Accurate findings empower the buyer. What sets me apart from other inspectors is not only that I am driven to find every defect in a home, I am also driven to empower you to succeed at your negotiations through clear messaging.
My experience
I have conducted over 6000 inspections in Wake county and the surrounding areas over the last 10 years. These homes range in age from 1900 to brand new. Prior to conducting inspections I worked in the construction field for 20 years. I have extensive experience in all areas of construction and Home Inspection. At Eldredge Home Inspection we specialize in going above and beyond the required list of inspection points.
Giving back
I am a firm believer that one’s character outside of work spills over into their character at work. As a believer in Jesus Christ, I enjoy giving back to the community. Below is a list of some of the programs that I volunteer with.
Royal Rangers
I have worked with the Royal Ranger program which mentors young boys in outdoor activities and in a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ for 15 years.

This is an organization that gives back to the community helping people in poverty by giving them food, clothing, etc. at no cost to the individual.
Royal Family Kids Camp
This organization provides an amazing program for children that have suffered abuse in their home and have been placed in foster care. This is a truly inspiring program gives children who have suffered terrible challenges a week of fun activities in a safe loving environment. These activities display the love of Jesus Christ to children in need.
